INDIANAPOLIS (WHAS11) – An Indianapolis community is rebuilding one year after a massive home explosion killed two people and leveled nearly 100 other homes.

On November 10, 2012, a home in the Richmond Hills neighborhood blew up overnight killing the couple who lived next door and causing more than $4 million in damage.

Police arrested Mark Leonard, his girlfriend Shirley Monserrate and his brother Bob Leonard saying they sparked the explosion by tampering with a microwave and fireplace as part of a plot to collect insurance money.

The trio is likely to go to trial next year.
