CLARK COUNTY, Ind. (WHAS11) – An Indiana man is facing charges for scamming people into buying caskets he didn’t have.
Robert Kraft was charged with an additional three felonies including theft this week in Clark County.
Prosecutors say Kraft would tell individuals he worked for a funeral company and could get them caskets they had to pay for in advance.
In the most recent case, Kraft is accused of taking $4700 from a man for a casket and $2600 from another couple.
He was arrested last week.
In all, prosecutors say Kraft pocketed more than $30,000 from unsuspecting people for personal gain.
