ELIZABETH, Ind.—Horseshoe Southern Indiana said they are undergoing construction on the new buffet that will take the place of Paula Deen’s restaurant in the casino-hotel.

The new buffet called “The Spread Buffet” is expected to be open sometime in December, and will include come specialty dishes showing off local flavors, along with other stations with dedicated themes: Italian, Mexican, Asian and others.

Deen’s buffet closed earlier this year at the hotel after Caesar’s Entertainment, the casino’s parent company, cut ties with Deen after she admitted to using racial slurs early in her life.
