ELIZABETH, Ind. (WHAS11) -- A bomb threat at the Horseshoe Casino in Elizabeth, Ind. Thursday night prompted the evacuation of hotel guests.

Christopher Thompson of Beaver Dam sent a video to WHAS11 and stated he was staying at the hotel with his family. Thompson said guests were ordered to the roof of the parking garage.

Horseshoe officials said they got the call of a possible bomb threat around 9 p.m.and called the Harrison County Sheriff.

"We received a call at the property with a bomb threat to the hotel just after 9 p.m.  Our guests and team member safety always comes first, so the hotel was promptly evacuated and the authorities were contacted.  They responded quickly and around 1:30 a.m. we were given the all clear by the Sheriff and confirmation that it was a false bomb threat.  Guests were then allowed to return their rooms," Lizzet Verdi, Horseshoe Casino Southern Indiana marketing and communications manager, said.

The casino is offering a complimentary one night stay at the hotel to guests effected by the evacuation.

Guests we spoke with said it was terrifying.
