CORYDON, Ind. (WHAS11) – Harrison County officials are meeting Monday evening after security concerns have come under fire.
The Sheriff’s Department said emotions run high during court hearings and earlier this month, someone became aggressive and had to be tased inside the courthouse in Corydon.
A security officer is supposed to be on guard at the unlocked entrance of the building but it hasn’t been in place for more than a year.
Officials hope to have the guard back in place.
The Harrison County Council takes up the issue at 7 P.M. at the Government Center in south Corydon.
