FLOYD COUNTY, Ind. (WHAS11) -- Floyd County is challenging almost $100,000 in legal bills submitted by David Camm's attorney.

This comes after the former Indiana state trooper was acquitted last month of killing his wife and two children.

Some of the claims that Camm’s attorney, Richard Kammen, submitted lack documentation, but other bills include hourly fees for additional paralegals and a third lawyer hired for Camm’s defense team.

Leaders in Floyd County believe those costs were not envisioned when Kammen was appointed to the case in 2010.

Kammen has not yet commented on this story.

David Camm spent 13 years in prison and went to trial three times for the murders.
