LANESVILLE, Ind. (WHAS11) -- A multi-million dollar economic development project is announced to bring new jobs to Harrison County, Ind.
"Between there and this area at the end of the interchange, we envision some office buildings, high end retail and other projects that might generate high end employment," Darrell Voelker, director of Harrison Co. Economic Development Corp., said.
The project in Lanesville off I-64 has been in the works for 25 years. It's happening now because Areva Pharmaceuticals is opening a distribution center there.
Lanesville, Harrison County and the state of Indiana offered a $7 million economic incentive package which includes land and infrastructure development over the next 10 years.
