NEW ALBANY, Ind. (WHAS11) -- Police say one person is dead after they drove their car into a building in New Albany, Ind. around 3:30 Sunday morning.
According to police, the driver of a white 2013 Ford Mustang was traveling northbound on State Road 111 South at a high rate of speed. Reports say the car left the roadway as it entered a curve onto Corydon Pike and struck a building, Alan's Automotive.
The driver suffered fatal injuries from the collision. The building sustained severe damage.
The Floyd County Combined Accident Reconstruction Team (CART) is investigating this crash.
