AUDUBON PARK, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Authorities are searching for a suspect in a robbery that occurred in early June.

According to the police report, a white male entered a convenience store in the 2700 block of Preston Highway on June 2.

At around 10:40 p.m., he went behind the counter with what was described as a "knife or other sharp object" and demanded money from the cashier and threatened to stab her if she didn't open the register.

Authorities said the cashier followed his instructions and he took around $350 and fled south on Preston.

The suspect is described as a male in his 30s with shaggy brown hair that looked like a mullet. He was also wearing an Alabama hat.

On the right side of his neck is a tattoo that the victim believed was in cursive writing.

The suspect was wearing a red shirt and knee-length cut-off jeans and red and black tennis shoes.

If you know anything about the case or the suspect, you are asked to call the Audubon Police Department at 502-637-5066.
