MUNCIE, Ind. (AP) -- An Anderson woman accused of attacking a Muncie mother and trying to abduct her 3-week-old daughter has been formally charged with attempted murder and burglary resulting in bodily injury.
The Star Press reports (http://tspne.ws/14Exsgk ) 34-year-old Judith Ann Walker also was charged with criminal confinement and attempted criminal confinement. If convicted on all counts, she faces up to 80 years in prison.
Walker was being held without bond Saturday in the Delaware County Jail. Jail records did not indicate whether she has hired an attorney.
Authorities said Walker was working as an exterminator conducting a follow-up visit at the home when she choked the mother with a cord and demanded she be given the infant. The mother escaped the house with her infant.
