FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) -- Authorities say a second person has died from a crash on Interstate 69 near Fort Wayne.
Two others have been critically injured.
Allen County Sheriff's Department spokesman Sgt. Jeremy Tinkel confirms the fatalities from the crash in which a disabled semitrailer parked on the side of the highway was sideswiped by another semitrailer Thursday afternoon.
WPTA-TV reports four people standing by the disabled semi were struck in the crash and one of them was dragged under the semitrailer that was moving at the time of the crash. It says that person died at the scene.
The crash closed all southbound lanes just north of Fort Wayne for about three hours until a single lane reopened.
