JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (WHAS11) -- A head-on collision in Clark County sent four people to the hospital Monday morning.
It happened just before 7 a.m. in the 6500 block of Charlestown Pike Road, near the Amazon Fulfillment Center.
Police said two cars were traveling in opposite directions when a dark blue vehicle blew a tire. That car ran off the right side of the road, the driver over corrected and swerved back into oncoming traffic, hitting a white Kia.
The crash happened right in front of Lois Hall's home.
She said she spoke to the driver of the blue vehicle moments after the crash.
"A lady came across the yard, and I said, 'what's going on?' She said, it's not bad, it's OK, it's OK," Hall said.
Those inside the Kia took the brunt of the impact and all four passengers suffered non life-threatening injuries.
"Most of the damage you've seen, is from where they had to cut the driver out of the car, because she did have to be extricated from the car due to her injuries," Chief Dep. Brian Meyer with the Clark County Sheriff's Office said.
That driver was air lifted to a Louisville hospital with a broken femur, the most serious of the injuries. Three others were transported by ambulance.
The crash remains under investigation.
