DECATUR COUNTY, Ind. (NEWS RELEASE) -- Early Friday evening a Decatur County man was killed and another one seriously injured in a crash involving a motorcycle and a farm ATV.

According to Trooper Matt Holley, at approximately 6:22 p.m. a 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by 27-year-old Keith M. Meyer of Greensburg was traveling southbound on C.R. 220 SW near C.R. 400 S when a Kubota RTV farm all terrain vehicle being driven by 71-year-old Eugene A. Grote of Greensburg pulled out of a private drive into the path of the motorcycle. The motorcycle struck the ATV on the driver’s side. Meyer was pronounced dead at the scene and Grote was airlifted from the scene with severe head injuries.

The crash remains under investigation. Tpr. Holley was assisted at the scene by Decatur County Sheriff’s Department, Decatur County Coroner’s Office, Decatur County EMS, Sand Creek Township Fire Department, and IU Medical Helicopter.
