Investigators search Houck farm for second day

NELSON COUNTY, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The lead investigator into the disappearance of Bardstown mother Crystal Rogers says he is confident the case will go to trial.

The search of the Houck family farm ended Wednesday night after two full days with more than 30 law enforcement officers, the LMPD Dive Team and 18 cadaver dogs.

Investigators searched two farms, one 245 acre farm belonging to Rosemary Houck, the mother of Brooks Houck, who was Crystal Rogers' boyfriend and is the main suspect in her disappearance.

The Nelson County Sheriff's Department says it seized "items of interest" Tuesday, but did not take anything on Wednesday.

The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office says it is waiting for results from the lab and does not anticipate returning to the Houck farm.
