(WHAS11) -- The key to keep a woman's bones healthy is moderate doses of alcohol. That's according to a new study published the journal "Menopause."

Researchers looked at 40 healthy post-menopausal women under 65. That's the age when bones become thinner and the risk for Osteoporosis and fractures start to rise.

They found women who had two drinks per day had healthier bones.

However the study does not say alcohol can reduce women's risk of breaking a bone.
