Metro Public Health offers naloxone training

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Local pharmacies and emergency responders are stocked up on naloxone, the drug that can reverse the effects of an opioid overdose, but this week the Kentucky Harm Reduction Coalition wants to train the public on how to use it.

The classes will be held at the Metro Public Health Department on East Gray Street in Louisville. They are scheduled for Thursday, September 8, 3 p.m.-6 p.m. and Friday, September 9, 11 a.m-2 p.m.
