(WHAS11) -- Want to lower your risk of oral cancer? Have a cup of joe or four.
According to a new study by the American Cancer Society, people who drank more than four cups of caffeinated coffee a day had nearly half the risk of dying from mouth or throat cancers--than those who only occasionally, or never, drank coffee.
Researchers say more research is needed.
Although less common in the U.S., mouth and throat cancers are among the 10 most common cancers in the world.
