(WHAS11) -- Many new moms are giving up “too soon” on breast-feeding their newborns, according to a new study out Tuesday morning.
The study finds more than 85 percent of new mothers intended to breast-feed for three months or longer.
Only about 32 percent made it.
Some people think moms stop early because they go back to work or because babies aren't feeding properly.
It's recommended that babies be breastfed exclusively for the first six months of life.
