WASHINGTON CO., Ind. (WHAS11) -- It's been confirmed the sick pigs at the Washington County Fair have tested positive for swine flu.
Only eight pigs were tested but they all came back positive. The Washington County Health Department says they won't know until later this week if any humans were infected with the virus.
During the fair last week the pigs were quarantined after several of them exhibited flu like symptoms.
There have been 11 confirmed cases of variant influenza A in Indiana since mid-July and that includes four cases in Jackson County.
