A new study reports the nation's obesity epidemic is robbing people of their sight.

According to the publication in the Journal of the American Medical Association, the percentage of adults suffering from uncorrectable vision loss has spiked 21 percent in the past six years.

Doctors said this type of vision loss happens in old age, but the biggest jump was in adults ages 20 to 39.

Researchers are reporting that their main concern is children and teens, who are developing diabetes at younger ages because of being overweight and inactive.
