(WHAS11) – Cocoa could help when it comes to memory.
A new study published in the medical journal "Hypertension" suggests that antioxidants in cocoa can help with memory, language and judgment.
The study looked at 90 elderly people suffering from mild cognitive impairment. They were all given drinks with various levels of antioxidants.
Those who received medium and high levels, did better on mental tests.
Critics warn that the science is still out, and say physical exercise has a much stronger positive effect on the brain.
