It's a new cheese that's getting a lot of attention.
A New York City chef is making cheese out of breast milk!
Chef Daniel Angerer said, “I think it's better than throwing it out because this is so personal."
You won't find the breast milk cheese on the menu at the chef's restaurant.
He says he has no intention of selling it but is offering free tastings away from the restaurant.
The New York Health Department has already told him not to sell the cheese because no one knew what kind of health problems any mother may or may not have. He says he got the idea while watching his wife breastfeed their new daughter.
It's called Mom's Milk Cheese and is made up with breast milk, yogurt, sea salt and some ingredients to hold the mixture together.
