MSD warns to stay out of water near Cedar Creek after bleach spill

Warnings were put in place Sunday after a spill in Cedar Creek and Floyds Fork.

Metro Sewer Department officials say 400,000 gallons of bleach-treated water spilled Sunday morning near the Cedar Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant.
 
An electrical problem is blamed for the spill.
 
Residents are asked to avoid contact with the water for a day or two.
