LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- If your New Year's resolution is to stop smoking-- the Louisville Metro Health Department can help you quit.
“There's educational sessions every week and they really help people to anticipate what they are going to be going through in the next week on the path to becoming a non smoker,” Dave Langdon, Louisville Metro Public Health & Wellness, said.
Free smoking cessation classes started on Thursday at locations around Louisville. Those classes run for 13 weeks, and they are free.
It's something the health department does each January, but this year they had to add extra classes because of high demand.
