Local doctor explains how to cope after traumatic event

(WHAS11) -- It's often hard to cope with traumatic events such as the Boston Marathon bombings.

Being exposed to those type of events can affect a person's mental health, even for people who did not witness or experience the attacks first hand.

Those who did witness the attacks or had a friend or loved one who did might be suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
