LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Wouldn't we all like to be forever young?
If we told you there was a non-invasive treatment that could give you a healthier, younger looking and more toned face -- would you try it?
That question was recently presented to our morning team, and they decided to give Myotonology a shot if they could put the process to the test on the air.
It's called Myotonology. It works by sending electric currents into the muscles of your face
The goal is three fold: to increase circulation, increase metabolism and to stimulate and remind our muscles to return where they were in younger years.
Corporate training director Geoffrey Ring sent us these before and after pictures from patients to prove it works.
"The skin becomes healthier and more youthful more glowing," Ring said.
But we wanted to find out for ourselves.
There are no obviously doctored before and after pictures; just three treatments each during a four day period last week.
The proof, if there's proof, will be in the photographs
Could Myotonology make Andy’s 40-something face and Kelsey's 30-something face look more youthful
Ring is a registered nurse trained in Myotonology in 2012. It's the only micro-current facial toning system patented in the United States
Next month Myo-technologies will release a Myo-tone a home version available for consumers and spas.
It comes with a water based gel, a training video and it packs a punch, a 480 watt-electric current. A commercial treatment will provide up to 640 watts.
Ring uses both units on his own face and his wife's.
He says it's most effective smoothing fine lines and wrinkles and toning crepe paper like skin around the eyes.
But if your goal is to remove all the lines Ring says surgery is still the only option.
On my TV partner Kelsey Ring points out her lifted eyes, less swelling under the eyes, smoother crow’s feet and a toned and lifted jaw line.
With more mileage on my grill Ring had a tougher task, but he claims you can see a noticeable difference on my forehead and in my eyes.
