Jefferson County Public Schools will begin their first H1N1 vaccine clinics in schools Monday.

It's the most ambitious immunization effort in schools since the polio vaccine back in the 1950s.

Children will only be vaccinated with parents' permission.

Here are the schools getting the vaccine Monday:

Meyers Middle, Carruthers Middle, Chenoweth Elementary, Jaeger Preschool, Jefferson County High, Fern Creek Elementary, Jefferstontown Elementary, Fern Creek High, Valley High School, Dixie Elementary, Kerrick Elementary and St. Agnes School.

For a complete list of H1N1 clinics in schools, visit the Metro Health and Wellness Website.
