(WHAS11) - Indiana State health officials say it's still important to get a swine flu shot but only 11% of residents have listened.
Doctors say the shots will build some immunity for next year when the virus is expected to re-emerge.
Of the 1.3 million doses of vaccine given since October, more than half were given to children and young adults.
Since June, 39 swine-flu related deaths have been reported in Indiana and at least 30 in Kentucky.
