5K walk raises money for 'Beat the Heat' organization

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- High school football practices are already underway and with that, comes some hot days.

Remember  the15-year-old PRP football player Max Gilpin who died from heat stroke back in 2008 in Louisville? This weekend his mother is trying to get the word out with a 5k walk to raise money for an organization called Beat the Heat.
