Firefighter makes it to $100,000 on 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire'

Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - One of Louisville's bravest got the shot to win a million dollars.

Firefighter Jeff Birt was answering the tough questions on 'Who Wants to be a Millionaire.'

Birt made it to $100,000 but he wasn't sure about the answer to the next question, so he walked away.

Birt says his secret to playing the game was all about strategy, especially who was handy with internet searches.

"If you're playing the game smart, you use the resources that are available to you.? Search engines certainly help," he says.

Birt may still be able to play the game again.

If his winnings are among the ten highest, he'll be invited back to New York to be asked a question for $1 million.

If he misses, he could go down to $25,000.
