(WHAS11) - The race wasn't very close for Kentucky's seat in the U.S. Senate.
Tea Party favorite Rand Paul declared victory around 7pm Tuesday.
He beat democratic rival Jack Conway with 56 percent of the vote, compared to 44 percent.
Paul is talking about his plans in the senate.
