(WHAS11) -- It's been a very busy election day across Kentuckiana. Voter turnout is expected to be on par with last election as far as percentage goes but because more people are registered to vote this time around the number of voters at the polls has increased.

Some are even saying we could have as much as 80 percent turnout in Jefferson County. However, no no election day is without problems.

There are reports of issues with people not being able to find their correct polling place and even a power outage that shut down voting machines.
