LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Following this week's election, apparently women rule in New Hampshire.

The state made history in Tuesday's election by electing the country's first ever all-female delegation.

Democrat Maggie Hassan was elected governor.

Democrats Carol Shea-Porter and Ann McLane Kuster were elected to the House of Representatives. They join the two female Senate incumbents.

The U.S. Senate also broke a gender-related record on Tuesday. The 113th congress will have at least 19 female senators, the most ever in U.S. history.
