JCPS chief operating officer vying for superintendent job

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – The current Jefferson County Public Schools chief operations officer wants a new job – superintendent.

Dr. Michael Raisor has revealed that he is on the list of applicants to be interviewed for the district’s top job.

He faces competition from interim superintendent Dr. Marty Pollio and seven other candidates.

The school board started reviewing applicants last week.

JCPS expects to choose finalists in February and have the new superintendent in place by April.
