LOUISVILLE, KY. (WHAS 11)--EpiPens could soon be at every school in Jefferson County.
According to our news partners at the Courier-Journal, JCPS plans to partner with drugmaker Mylan.
Before that can happen, the district needs to approve a policy change requiring all schools to stock the life-saving drug.
District leaders approved the first step in that process Sept.13.
Parents are responsible for sending an EpiPen to school with their students and it's important to note this would not change with a new policy.
School staff will also be trained to learn how to administer this medication.
