(WHAS11) -- WHAS11's Excel Award, which recognizes excellence in Kentuckiana classrooms, was honored with an award of its own.
The Excel Award program, which is more than 20-years-old, was given a 2012 Pioneer Innovator Award Thursday afternoon at the Muhammad Ali Center.
Our program was chosen for making a difference in public education and student achievement.
