LOUISVILLE, Ky.--The first day of classes at the University of Louisville welcomes the largest freshman class in history. More than 2,800 first time students will be on campus this school year.
The freshmen aren't the only new thing on campus. The soon to open Student Recreation Center is also being highly anticipated.
“It’s 128,000 square feet. It's going to change the campus life of our students for generations to come,” said Dale Ramsay, University of Louisville Director of Recreational Sports.
It's a giant space with a little bit of everything.
“From playing basketball to working out to running on the track, we have a golf simulator; we have the turf field. We have 3 fitness studios,” Ramsay said.
The $37.5 million dollar facility is expected to be done in 2 months.
