LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- U of L celebrated students who earned some of the most competitive academic awards in the world.
Eight people won the Fulbright scholarship and 17 others earned scholarships including the Barry M. Goldwater, Boren, and Critical Language scholarships.
The Fulbright program offers grants to study, teach and conduct research for U.S. citizens to go abroad and non U.S. citizens to come to the U.S.
Since 2003 U of L scholars earned 68 Fulbright awards.
