Program featuring school for blind's marching band

   LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- Representatives of the Ohio State School for the Blind marching band will be in Louisville for a program at the Museum of the American Printing House for the Blind on Saturday.

   Museum Director Mike Hudson will interview band director Dan Kelly, founder Carol Agler and former band members Macy McClain and Sam Shepherd about topics including the challenges the group has faced and the power of music education to inspire and transform.

   The marching band was formed in 2005 and played during halftime shows for the Ohio School for the Deaf football games as well as the 2010 Tournament of Roses parade.

   Admission is free. Reservations are required by Thursday at (502) 899-2213 or by emailing kcarpenter(at)aph.org.
