LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) - - The man who built an auto dealership empire in Kentuckiana is donating $1 million to The University of Louisville.
Sam Swope is a graduate of Ohio State University but says U of L is his adopted alma mater.
Swope started his auto dealership empire in Elizabethtown in 1951.
He expanded to Louisville 10 years later.
