Jefferson County teacher named Teacher of the Year

Jackson, an 8th-grade language arts teacher at Corbin Middle School in the Corbin Independent school district, was named 2012 Middle School Teacher of the Year.

(WHAS11)-- A third-grade teacher from Jefferson County was named 2012 Elementary Teacher of the Year.
Elizabeth Ann Fuller received the award in Frankfort today from the governor.

Fuller is a third-grade reading and writing teacher at J.B. Atkinson Academy. She was among many honored at the awards.

The Kentucky Teacher of the Year award went to Kimberly Shearer of Boone County High School.
