LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The Kentucky Alliance of Black School Educators is hosting a series of conferences aimed at giving educators, parents, students and community representatives the tools they need to provide children with better educations.

The first conference of the series is Sept. 6 and 7 at Central High School.

Kumar Rashad, a math instructor with JCPS and Dr. D'Artagnan Ramse, president of KABSE, stopped by the studio Monday to talk about the upcoming series, click the video player above to see the complete interview.
