Cultural passes for Kentuckiana students available for summer

(WHAS It's summer break for nearly all Kentuckiana students and there’s a new program that begins to help keep your kids busy and engaged in who we are.

It's called a cultural pass.

The pass works like a punch card and it allows a child and one adult chaperon general admission to several local locations.

That includes the Kentucky Derby Museum, Bernheim Forest, and Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft just to name a few.

The pass is valid through August 13th.

Also this summer a way for parents to stay connected to activities for the kids.

Texts the phrase get connected to 96714 and give your zip code and age of child and you'll get a list of events.

You can pick up the cultural pass at the main library starting June 9 at 10:30 a.m.

Many of the events are said to be low or no cost.
