LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – JCPS had to evacuate students at Bloom Elementary, in the Highlands, due to a sprinkler pipe bursting. Students were taken to Highland Baptist Church on 1101 Cherokee Road.

Buses are running on schedule and parents with proper ID may pick up students at the church.

Childhood Enrichment Program for displaced Bloom Elementary students will be at Highland Middle School on 1700 Norris Place.

The pipe burst happened in the front office which caused water to drip into classrooms below. Officials say about 530 kids were evacuated.
