LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11)—The Abramson’s are still promoting the push to raise the number of people in Louisville who have a degree.

Louisville introduced the 55,000 Degrees Movement, and Former Louisville First Lady Madeline Abramson is encouraging recent graduates to “pass the cap.”

She wants those who have recently received their degrees to push others to finish college and get their degrees, effectively passing the graduation cap on to the next set of graduates.

Abramson just received her Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree from Bellarmine University in December and her son, Sidney, will graduate from Bellarmine next week.
