LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Seven candidates have interviewed for the Louisville coaching job and the process continues to move along at a fast pace, according to UofL. In fact it's possible we could know who the Cards’ next football coach will be in the next 48 hours.
Let's take a closer look at one of the candidates: Pat Narduzzi has been the defensive coordinator at Michigan State for the past seven years.
This year Narduzzi won the Frank Broyles Award which is given out to the top assistant in college football. This past year Narduzzi's squad finished first in the country in total defense but he doesn't have any previous head coaching experience.
Out of all the candidates on the list there has been a lot talk about Bobby Petrino at Western Kentucky. Petrino would definitely be a polarizing figure with Louisville fans.
