Theft investigation at Louisville home leads to drug arrest

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A Louisville man is facing drugs charges after a detective investigating a separate case said he found drugs in the man's bedroom.

According to the arrest report, a detective was investigating a felony theft case at a home on Montgomery Street whenhe noticed drug paraphernalia on a nightstand in a bedroom.

Police said the bedroom belonged to 36-year-old David Joel Davis.

The report states the detective found a razor blade, a strainer, aluminum foil and what appeared to be residual lines of heroine.

Upon further investigation, police said the detective located an undisclosed amount of marijuana and scales.

Davis was arrested and is charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.
