Western Ind. man arrested after crash with .54 percent BAC

(WHAS11)—A Western Indiana man is in jail after police say his blood alcohol content was nearly seven times the legal limit.

The man, 63-year-old Stephen Harrold, was involved in an accident in a construction zone when he crashed his pickup into a vehicle carrying two workers for a highway contractor.

Harrold’s BAC was .54 percent when the crash happened in a highway lane that was closed due o construction, neither worker was seriously injured.

Harrold is charged with drunk driving and injuring a highway worker.
