WEST  POINT, Ky. (WHAS11) -- After spending close to $7,000  to fix storm damage, a West Point homeowner returns from work to find all the repairs undone.

“They ripped off the siding where it was replaced; they ripped all the window wraps off. They punched holes in the gutter and smashed the gutters,” Lisa Polgar said.

On Thursday Polgar discovered the damage and a note in her mailbox apologizing for it. The note said: “ ‘We’re sorry about this. David didn’t pay me. You can call him’”

The note claimed the contractor failed to pay for work that was finished on June 16.  Polgar described seeing the note as infuriating, “I just want to spit on their face, I really do.”

West Point Police believe the two men who were subcontracted on the project are responsible. Polgar now has to have all the work redone.

Police believe the same suspects targeted another home in Okolona for the same reason. The suspects face multiple charges including trespassing and theft. The two took siding material with them. Anyone with information is asked to call police (502) 922-413.
