LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Police arrested an employee of United Parcel after they say he attempted to pass 15 iPhones under security fencing.
Dautrick Smith, 24, allegedly wrapped up the iPhones in two rubber bands and tried to slide them under fencing at a security checkpoint. The iPhones have an estimated value of $10,035.
According to a police report Smith admitted to theft to the company's loss prevention officer. The report says upon arrest, officers located additional cell phones in Smith's backpack. The total value of these products is $3,545.
Smith was charged with receiving stolen property.
